All British Forces members will be assigned to a certain platoon. This will help us, manage better.

A platoon is a component of an Army unit in the chain.
It is the third from the bottom and composed of two or more squads led by a Platoon Leader, usually a Second Lieutenant supported by a platoon sergeant (Sergeant First Class). Total strength, 17 soldiers. The lowest is a Fire Team comprised of 2-4 troops.
There are generally 4 Platoons in a Company(Hence the 1st Platoon, 2nd Platoon etc.)
Platoons are generally the highest groups in the chain that head out on patrols/missions. These can be broken down at leaderships discretion into Squads(and have been done alot in recent times) for individual tasks, but historically a mission would come down the chain and be assigned to a company who would get the job done with the Platoon. Taking a position might occupy the entire company, but each Platoon would be assigned a direction to assult from and the Platoon leader would decide how best to distribute the squads to achieve that objective.
It's also the point where the "work gets done" so to speak in terms of physically turning a abstract order into a physical reality.

From smallest to largest units:
Team, Squad, Platoon, Company, Battalion, Brigade, Division.

A Platoon Leader (aka PL) is the Officer responsible for all that the platoon does or fails to do. Typically the PL is very new to the Army, fresh out of the training commensurate with the repsonsilty of the position. As such the Army is wise to provide the PL with a Platoon Sergeant (PSG) who actually does all of the work for the PL. There are four squad leaders that answer to the PL. They are enlisted Soldiers with a very hefty amount of experience and training behind them, they typically have been at their jobs for years.

In an Infantry Company, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Platoons are typically identical in size, composition and equipment.

How these units all work together depends on the situation.

I think we should take these platoons into advantage by using them during raids.
